Science Playdate for Under 6s

Do you have a mini scientist in your family?
In 2020, Science Space launched the first science-based play session of its kind to the Illawarra. On Mondays, we offer a different introductory STEM-based activity for the under 6 age group. Guided activities/shows will run between 9.30 am and 10 am.
DETAIS
Date/Time: Every Monday from 9.30 am-10.00 am
(this means you get 30 minutes in the centre BEFORE doors open to the public.)
Stay and Play: Stay as long as you like after your exclusive playdate
Cost: Normal entry prices apply, activity session is FREE.
Mini Monday guests get early exclusive access to the exhibition and can play all day.
Guests must book online in advance.
Activity sessions are free! This new activity is FREE for all members.

| 4 | 2nd Aug | Bubble-mania | Why do bubbles pop? Why are bubbles round? Find out this and more as we explore some bubble-tastic science together! |
| 5 | 9th Aug | Robot Masters | It’s robot time! Learn the basics of coding and shapes as we play with our army of Blue Bots. |
| 6 | 16th Aug | National Science Week! – Food Science |
In honour of National Science Week, we’re exploring all things food! Come and taste some Liquid Nitrogen ice cream or make fizzy sherbet! |
| 7 | 23rd Aug | Energy Art | Explore how energy and forces can be used to create some super swirly artworks. |
| 8 | 30th Aug | Fantastic Mini Beasts! |
Come and meet our creepy-crawly friends! We’ll discover what they eat, where they live and what they look like. |
| 9 | 6th September | Mini-Geologists | What can you find under the ground? Come see and touch real gems and minerals and see for yourself! |
| 10 | 13th September | Planetarium | Journey through the stars and visit planets with your child in this toddler-friendly session. |
